Nonsurgical vein removal solutions at our office include sclerotherapy, as well as laser treatment using the Harmony® XL PRO. During your initial consultation, our staff will perform a skin assessment and construct a custom-tailored vein removal treatment plan that works with your complexion and skin type.
What to Expect During A Vein Treatment
Depending on the size and location of the spider veins you want to treat, our team may recommend either sclerotherapy (injections) or laser vein treatment.
Sclerotherapy
This treatment is administered through an injection at our office in Chicago, IL. The injection delivers glycerin or Asclera, an FDA-approved formula manufactured by Merz, directly into the vein, which causes the blood vessels to collapse. Before recommending this treatment, we'll usually perform an ultrasound exam to determine if it is the ideal approach for your case.
Laser Treatments
Using the Harmony XL PRO, our team will direct a beam of light into the spider vein to break it down. After collapsing, the vein will be broken down by the body and fade away over the next 1 – 2 months. Our laser equipment is able to precisely target the blood vessels while sparing the skin and surrounding tissues.
Before your laser vein removal session, we will apply an anesthetic cream to the treatment area to help ensure your comfort. Our laser devices also feature built-in cooling to further reduce any discomfort caused by the procedure. Because it is a relatively gentle treatment, laser vein therapy is often suitable for spider veins that develop on the face, upper thighs, backs of the legs, or ankles.

I tried the Diamond Peel Facial just before the long holiday weekend. I pinked up a little because I asked them to go very aggressive with this treatment which blasts high speed mildly abrasive particles along the surface to shrink pores and smooth rhytids. The treatment ended with a serum infusion that left my skin glowing - this is way smoother than any microderm. Suzanna has an amazing team. Super convenient for me because I work in Fulton Market. Maybe next time I'll try one of their laser treatments. Highly recommend.
